Mike GilmoreMike's professional career as a photographer began some 20 years ago, after many years in the retail sector. He has had several studios in various Essex locations, including very successful high street premises. Mike's reputation was built on portraiture, fashion and weddings. His style won him many awards from Kodak and Agfa, among others, and is held in high regard by members of the professional bodies to which he belongs. Feeling that a different challenge was needed, Mike turned his attention to dogs and he is now producing some innovative work both with the camera and digitally on computer. Mike has devoted many hours to learning and honing his Photoshop skills, and by liaising with the leading professional experts in this field. This new turning point has gained much approving recognition amongst his peers and Mike is always wanting to try new ways to get the best out of his canine subjects.
Susan GilmoreSue's professional career as a photographer began some six years ago when she answered Mike's advertisement for a wedding photographer, published in a professional magazine. Within a year Sue was running the studio under Mike's watchful eye and together they ran various promotions, one of which was a dog portrait competition. The awards, including one from Canon, and peer approval of Sue's work meant that together, Sue and Mike make a formidable partnership and their photographs are regularly used as advertising material. One of the first assignments that Sue undertook was for Hasselblad, which for a new professional is recognition indeed!
